NWHM aspires to reclaim the missing half of the nation’s history; women’s history. They are bringing it into the mainstream by honoring and celebrating the achievements and contributions of women through their award winning CyberMuseum, www.nwhm.org , as well as through temporary exhibits, and a speaker’s bureau as they work to secure a building site for a physical museum, on or close to the Capitol Mall.
“Washington, D C is a city of symbols; a city of museums. We show here what we value by what we spotlight. The time has come for women to have a proper home where their contributions and achievements will be documented, exhibited and told for the current generation and generations to come” said Joan Wages their new President.
NWHM is a 501(c)(3) educational, nonpartisan organization incorporated in the District of Columbia.
