Honor the Women in Your Life
In honor of Mother's Day, the National Women's History Museum enables you to remember and thank the women who have helped to shape your life. It might be your mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, teacher, neighbor, or friend. Upon receipt of your donation and the name(s) of those you are honoring, their name(s) will be listed here in the Roll of Honor and Remembrance.
Find honorees by their last name in the navigation system to the left.
When you receive an acknowledgement of your special gift, you will also be provided with a password giving you access to our new online archive, The Chronicle of American Women. With this password you can begin to build your tribute to the woman or women you have chosen to honor here. You will be able to include biographical information, photographs, and remembrances in your online chronicle.
You can click on the “Special Remembrance Cards” button below to download and print as many card inserts as you need for the women you are honoring. Send those inserts in a greeting card or letter to your honorees to let them know you are honoring them.
Payment OptionsTo pay online, please click on the Visa/Donate button below. You will be connected with a secure NWHM Paypal account, where you may make a donation of $25 or more for each special woman.
In the "Payment For" box, please type in "Mother's Day Remembrance." If you do not have a Paypal account, click on the "click here" button in the middle of the page that is specifically for people without accounts.
On the shipping page (which will be the second page of Paypal) you can click on the dot next to the words "Shipping is not required," and continue to the next screen.
On the billing page (which will be the third page of Paypal), there is a box at the bottom of the page, please type in the name or names of the woman or women you are honoring in this box.
